McHardy 2.5 Ring Snaffle with Roller and Additional Rings – Bomber Bits
This snaffle allows for an immediate release of pressure on the tongue and bars. The bit quickly returns to a neutral position in the horse’s mouth.
A horse shaking its head when bit pressure is applied or trying to escape tongue pressure are classic signs of a sensitive tongue. With this in mind, the McHardy has been designed with a medium port to create space for the tongue and reduce pressure. Additionally, the upper half ring helps to adjust and reduce poll pressure.
The Buster Roller increases mobility, helping to lift the horse’s head and improve responsiveness to the aids. The top ring is attached to the cheekpieces to apply pressure to the poll, causing the horse’s head to lower, while the half-ring provides leverage, creating a head-raising action. When these two actions combine, it results in the so-called gag action.
