HACKAMORE
Hackamore is a type of mouthpiece without a bite and therefore nothing is inserted into the horse's mouth. It is used both with young horses and with horses that have had lesions in the mouth or have to be rehabilitated. Hackamore is usually composed of a flat strip of padded leather with lamb hair on the part that rests on the nasal bone. The strip is attached, from both ends, to a flat straight lever from the upright of the headboard to which the thread ring attaches. Under the jaw there is a barbell which can be made of chain, rope or leather. The lower part of the lever is attached to the reins. The horse is therefore not guided by a mouthpiece but is controlled by the pressure exerted on the nasal bone and the jaw by the combined action of the piece resting on the nose and the barbel. On our store you will find a wide range of Hackamore of the best brands such as Equine Management, Jump'In and Makebe. Choose the product you prefer and buy now.
