3-Piece Snaffle Bit – Feeling Bristol Ring Snaffle

The mouthpiece is made up of three parts. The central part is flat on the tongue and applies more pressure on the tongue compared to a two-piece snaffle. The thicker the central part, the greater the pressure on the tongue.

For this snaffle, remember that the mouth size is a key factor in the selection. A correctly sized bit contributes to the horse's comfort, while an incorrect size can cause discomfort or pain.

Once the bit is in the mouth, there should always be a few millimetres between the corner of the lips and the rings to avoid injury
